Why learning English is so important?

People communicate with a lot of language in this world. For your information, the Ethnologue catalogue of world languages, which is one of the best linguistic resources, currently lists 6909 living languages. About 6% of them have more than a million speakers each, and collective account for 94% of the world population. English language is one of the International Common Tongue. 

Other than that the most spoken languages of the world are Chinese, Spanish, Hindi, Arabic and many more. English language is on the third rank of the most spoken language in the world. Moreover, in many countries, children are taught and encouraged to learn English as a second language.

The reasons why we have to learn English are we can communicate with other people when we go to abroad. Most of the country around us used English as a way to communicate with tourist. Students who go to abroad for education must learn and speak in English well so that they can understand what other people around them talking about and most importantly can understand what their lecturers teach. If their command over English is poor, then they may face in adjusting with the alien environment.

Plus, English is the dominant business language and it has become almost a necessity for people to speak English if they are to enter a global workforce, research from all over the world shows that cross-border business communication is most often conducted in English. It is importance in the global market place to learn English.

Therefore, English is the language of internet. Most of the content on the internet is produced in English language. So knowing English can make you understand and find more information. Plus, if we communicate with the other person through internet we will use English as a language to communicate because English is a global language.

Other than that, it helps us to understand and learn the other languages. For example, if we want to learn other language like Spanish, Korean or else we used dictionary as a way to learn it. Most of the dictionary used English as a language to teach and to make the readers understand it. So learning English is so important.

The conclusion is we can't denied the importance of learning English language. There are a lot of benefits of learning English language. For those who still unaware of the importance of learning English you have to come back to your sense because in this global world we have to keep moving foward and explore the world.

                          The concept of English as a multicultural language is based on the fact that English is here to stay as an indispensable language for international communication in Asia and other parts of the world. Failure to communicate effectively with English will affect various opportunities both economic and social opportunities. This English language is used by the international community but the use of Bahasa Malaysia as the official language of the country is very much needed to be maintained and enhanced in its dignity. We do not want our official language to be extinct because of our negligence glorifying English as the Malay proverb "the unsuccessful chase, which is suppressed".

                 English is also important for education. today's generation think that English is not important which is wrong. we have to teach the younger generation English so that its easy for them to further their studies oversea or to get a job. nowadays its hard to get a job if you don't know English. big companies usually recruit those who can speak English because of their global status that is why the fresh grad have to fight for the job and those who can speak English has a huge advantage. Thus importance of English language is immense in development of the world.

                  English is very important in international business for local entrepreneur to enter the international market they must know how to speak English because its hard to communicate when you can't understand each other. Adopting a global language policy is not easy, and company invariably stumble along the way. Many may feel at disadvantages if their English isn't as good as others, but to survive and thrive in global economy, you must overcome the language barriers. in many countries where English is not the native language, you are considered highly educated if you can speak the language properly. You will be presented with a number of career opportunities, and you will have the option of staying home to work or travel abroad. When you learn how to speak English, the opportunities are limitless.

                    Travelling around the world is dream of most people, but then its hard for you to travel because of the language barriers. that is why English is important. It is much more easier to communicate with locals.Of course learning the local languages would be fun but it takes time and sometimes can cause trouble.By learning English you will have no problem ordering food and checking into your hotel and it is much easier to bond with the local when you can understand each other.

                   English is importance for entertainment because they will understand what they hear, watch and learn. Knowing English opens up thousands of movies, televisions shows and games for your enjoyment. If one day you want to work in entertainment industry, English is even more essential. Those who are still unaware of the importance of the English in entertainment should start learning it as a time will come when everything will be understood.

Therefore it has become immensely important for people to equip themselves with adequate skills and the knowledge of English language.
