In this
modern era, nearly everyone has a mobile phone and majority of it they are
using smartphones. It allow users to connect to the internet and run apps as
well as sending texts and making phone calls. So, there are a lot of the
advantages and disadvantages of smartphone.
THE ADVANTAGES OF HAVING
A SMARTPHONES :
1. With a smartphone we can keep ourselves
entertained. For example, we can read the news, play games, listen to music or
watch a movie.
2. We can complaining about products and
services through social media. For example, Twitter, Facebook and so on. Many
companies now use social media as a part of their customers service. It is easy,
quick and we can do it anywhere using a smartphones.
3. Using a smartphone, we’re no longer
going to use company’s computer to chat with our friends. Instead, we can keep
our conversation away from the business’s network, protect our privacy.
3. As a smartphone is actually a small
screen computer, it means we can carry out a wide range of tasks when on the
go. For example, we can use our phone to list a tasks, write a report playing
games and so on.
4. Drivers also use smartphone to use
apps like Google Maps, Waze as a map to helping them to get to their destination
and avoid traffic jams.

THE DISADVANTAGES OF
HAVING A SMARTPHONES :
1. Smartphone can be addicted and we will
spending too much time on them. It can make us socially isolated from the real
world. We should avoid becoming obsessed with constantly checking it. It also
can develop into compulsive behaviour.
2. There are a lot of our personal
information so it’s quite dangerous if someone steal it. If our phone don’t
have a password protected, screen lock, then all of our information will be at
risk.
3. There are some apps that allow friends
to track our location using our phone and if their phone gets stolen, it’s easy
for the thieves to find out that you are away from home. Something bad could
happen.
4. Smartphone have a weakness which is
water. Although there are a few waterproof phone, but majority smartphones don’t
get on to well with liquids.
